What is Optiscaler?
OptiScaler is a tool that lets you replace upscalers in games that already support DLSS2+ / FSR2+ / XeSS, as well as manage frame generation in already mentioned games (either by replacing existing FG options or enabling it in DX12 games through experimental OptiFG). It also offers extensive customization options for all users, including those with Nvidia GPUs using DLSS.

Why Use It?
Key benefits include:
- FSR 4 Access for RDNA 3 and RDNA 2 GPU's. This has been a major contention in the PC gaming community on how the leak of FSR4 int8 works quite well on older GPU's (RDNA 2 and 3) GPU's but users been locked out of it (officially) by AMD. This will help you enable it for the older GPU's.
- Adjusting upscalers on the fly - Test various upscalers and how it will look and work within the game you are running. Example: Ran FSR 4 and or XeSS 2.0 on Silent Hill 2 Remake. Found that, surprisingly, XeSS 2.0 ran better and looked almost on par with FSR4 on my 6800xt.
- Latency Management: The tool can convert latency features, such as redirecting NVIDIA Reflex to AMD Anti-Lag 2 or XeLL, maintaining low input lag when swapping upscaling engines.
- Visual Enhancement: It improves clarity and reduces artifacts like shimmering or blurring, allowing for higher visual settings at lower native resolutions without significant quality loss.
- Performance increases - With access to various upscaler options to be spoofed, you can potentially find performance fix's otherwise may not exist with the stock options in-game.
- OptiScaler enables frame generation in games that lack native support by bridging upscaling technologies (DLSS, XeSS, FSR) and injecting frame interpolation via its OptiFG tool or by converting existing frame gen inputs (like DLSS FG or FSR FG) into outputs like FSR 3 FG, XeFG, or FSR 4 FG.
