The Dyson Case With The PC Built In
As said before, I haven't done anything extrodinariy with this machine since I had it. Aside from adding in 32GB of ram instead of its standard 16GB, replaced the 1TB NVME it had initially and changed out the GPU to a RTX 3070, the rest more or less stayed the same.
Internally, the machine is easy to work in if you need to do any replacement of hardware. The Dell Alienware AM4 motherboard is B550 chipset board so what is nice about it, is I was able to test a AMD Ryzen 5700x3D processor in it. I did do a full bios update to the latest bios available for this motherboard. The downside I found is it only has 1 NVME port available.
I had used the 5700x3D processor in this for a bit until I decided to go back to itx form factor and sell this machine off. Put the 5800 back in, gave it a new coat of thermal paste (GD900, my favorite) and ran it through the ringers in order to see if everything works. In this regard, I ran it through a couple of games and furmark 2, along with OCCT for good measure.
Passed with flying colors. No issues at all, stayed stable.
Now I did run three games: Resident Evil Requiem, Clairs Obscure Expedition 33 and Crimson Desert. Now, unfortunately for whatever reason, Crimson desert recording only recorded a tail end where I got my crap stomped in by town guards. But what I can say is though it ran near cinematic quality with DLSS set to balanced at 1440p at roughly stable 60fps. Mind you if I did some tweaking, I bet I could get even better out of it but in all honesty, the game isn't my type and after the footage I wanted was not available, I just didn't want to put effort into doing the recording again.
